Anne Marie Palazzolo
Founder
Anne Marie knew she wanted to be a teacher since she was 5 years old. She’s been working with students 1:1, in small groups, and in classrooms for 20 years and is the first to tell everyone she has the best job in the world. Her experience as a classroom teacher, homeschooling parent, special educator, educational consultant, advocate, and parent make her an asset to the AMPed team.

Anne Marie & Wes share the belief that our job as parents and educators is to help our children grow to be global citizens. From our own gaggle of five kids and beyond, we know every child is unique and should be treated as such. We’re thrilled to be able to realize our dream of creating learning centers and non-traditional learning opportunities here in our community that foster independence, curiosity, a love of learning, and that support the families we serve.

Elementary Teacher
Hi, I am Trinity, the Lower Elementary teacher at AMPed. I completed my bachelors at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and have my teaching certification in K-8. I was an assistant teacher for 5 years at a Montessori preschool and have been here at AMPed since February 2024. In my free time, I love crocheting, traveling, and cooking. I am so happy to be part of AMPed!
Jenia Powe
Teacher Assistant
Meet Jenia Powe, a dedicated and compassionate educator with over 8 years of experience cultivating young minds. She celebrates every student’s distinctiveness and fosters an environment where they feel empowered to express themselves and advocate for their experiences. Outside of the classroom, you’ll find Jenia at the dance studio sharing her passion for ballet, jazz, and contemporary with young artists.

Therapy Dog
I’m Greta, named after Greta Thunberg.
I just graduated Puppy College in summer 2024 and now work as a therapy dog at AMPed. If you ask me, I’m a professional snuggler! I enjoy playing with my sloth toy, meeting new friends, and taking afternoon naps.
Oliver
Bearded Dragon / Mascot
Hi, I’m Oliver the Bearded Dragon. I love having students read to me, especially National Geographic for Kids, sitting on student’s laps, and eating bugs. You may also find me riding on Anne Marie’s shoulder, Miss Frizzle style.

Dr. Husam Alrehaili
STEM Advisor
Hi! I’m Dr. Husam Alrehaili. I’ve spent my career studying and teaching mechanical engineering. I enjoy helping train the engineers of tomorrow in labs at Wayne State University. I’m excited to be joining the AMPed team as the STEM advisor, helping develop our custom curriculum that keeps kids asking “Why?” and “How?” and then guides them to find out the answer. In my spare time, you’ll find me running obstacle course races, cooking way too much food for my friends, checking out coffee shops, or taking a spontaneous road trip to explore a new place.
