At AMPed Hybrid Academy, we believe that an exceptional education requires students to engage their imagination, take intellectual risks, and express themselves authentically. We do not isolate creative expression into a single class period; instead, we seamlessly integrate it into our robust, interdisciplinary curriculum, ensuring that students develop the design, iteration, and reflection skills required for high-level problem solving.

Integrated Visual Arts and Social-Emotional Learning

We know that for students to tackle rigorous academic challenges, their emotional well-being must be fully supported. To that end, AMPed has developed its own proprietary art curriculum that intentionally integrates visual arts with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). All students from kindergarten through ninth grade participate in this unique program, using creative expression as a powerful tool to explore their emotions, build self-awareness, practice empathy, and strengthen vital coping skills. This holistic approach ensures your child feels grounded, understood, and ready to learn at their highest potential.

Our students prove their earned competence by producing sophisticated artistic and creative outputs that connect core academic standards to real-world applications.

Throughout their time at our boutique academy, you will see your child’s creativity come to life in projects such as:

Imaginative Storytelling & Illustration: Junior High students dive deep into complex literature, such as adapting the themes of George Orwell’s 1984 into a fully designed children’s book to demonstrate their understanding of power, censorship, and empathy.
Hands-on Design & Modeling: Upper Elementary learners synthesize science, math, and art to build 3D sustainable habitat models for local wildlife, and craft “living history” museum presentations.
Immersive Exhibitions: Lower Elementary students step into the role of paleontologists to curate and present an interactive fossil exhibit, or craft detailed maps and stories about their local community.
Multimedia Creation: Across all cohorts, students design digital infographics, produce how-to videos, and build multimedia presentations to synthesize complex information and teach concepts to their peers.
