We take the time to get to know each student and family, and we approach admissions as a two-way process. Our goal is to determine whether AMPed is the right fit—academically, socially, and developmentally.

The Admissions Process

Our process is designed to be straightforward and informative, giving you a clear understanding of how AMPed works while allowing us to get to know your child.

1. Schedule a Conversation (optional)

We start with a brief introductory call to learn more about your child, your family’s goals, and what you’re looking for in a school. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation — an opportunity for you to ask questions and for us to begin understanding how we might be a good fit. Families who prefer to jump straight to a tour are welcome to do so.

2. Visit the School

Families are invited to visit and explore the school environment alongside their child. You’ll have the chance to walk through the space, meet the principal, and get a real sense of our community and culture. Bringing your child allows them to get comfortable with the environment and gives us the opportunity to begin getting to know them.

3. Submit an Application

Families complete a short application that helps us build a fuller picture of each student’s background, interests, and learning needs. This is your opportunity to share what makes your child unique and what you’re hoping a school can offer them. We aim to make this process as straightforward as possible.

4. Financial Aid Application (optional)

Families who wish to apply for financial assistance are welcome to submit a financial aid application at this stage. We are committed to making our school accessible and review all applications thoughtfully. Details on the financial aid process are available on our Tuition and Financial Aid page.

5. Parent Interview

We invite parents or guardians for a more in-depth conversation with our team. This interview gives us the chance to learn more about your family’s values, your child’s learning style, and your hopes for their education. It’s also a great moment for families to ask any remaining questions before a decision is made.

6. Academic Records and Teacher Recommendation

As a final step, we request your child’s most recent academic records along with a recommendation from a current or former teacher. These materials help us better understand your child’s academic journey and how they engage in a learning environment. We handle all records with care and confidentiality.

Timing & Availability

AMPed maintains intentionally small cohort sizes to ensure meaningful relationships and consistent faculty guidance.

Because of this, space is limited. We encourage families to begin the process early, particularly if you are exploring enrollment for the upcoming school year.

We accept applications on a rolling basis as space allows.

What We Look For

We are not looking for a single type of student. Instead, we look for alignment between a student’s needs and the way learning is designed at AMPed.

We consider:

A student’s readiness for increasing independence and ownership
Willingness to engage in collaborative and inquiry-driven work
