For a lot of families, the end of the school year felt more like exhaling than celebrating. If your child had a hard year, or if you’ve spent the past few months knowing something needs to change but not knowing what to do about it, summer is not too late to act. AMPed Hybrid Academy is still accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year.
AMPed is an accredited private hybrid school in Farmington Hills, Michigan, serving students in grades K through 9. The model blends two days of structured on-campus instruction with supported independent learning days, in small cohorts of no more than 12 students. For children who need more individual attention, a more flexible pace, or simply an environment where they feel seen, the hybrid model offers something traditional schools often can’t.
Why summer is actually the right time
A student who enrolls now has time to visit campus, meet their cohort, and start the fall with some familiarity rather than walking into an entirely new environment on the first day. That runway matters more than most families expect. Summer enrollment means a clean start in September, which is almost always smoother than a mid-year transition.
What the process looks like
The first step is a visit, not a stack of paperwork. Families typically start by scheduling a campus tour or a call with our admissions team, where you can see the space, meet faculty, and ask whatever questions are on your mind. Because cohorts are kept small by design, availability varies by grade level, and reaching out now puts your family in the best position for a fall placement. If a cohort happens to be full, we keep a waitlist and typically have movement on it over the summer as families finalize their plans.
A note on tuition and financial aid
AMPed’s admissions process is need-blind, meaning your family’s financial situation has no bearing on the admission decision. Financial aid is available, and we encourage every family to reach out before assuming cost is a barrier. The question of fit should come first.
If this past year wasn’t the right one, reaching out now is the best way to find out what’s possible for fall. Spots are limited, and the sooner your family starts the conversation, the more options you’ll have.
